Speaking on Sauti Ya Mwananchi Radio Friday, Wamwere likened to the African leadership to a cursed governance, hence the mistreatment many African countries are subjected to by their leaders.

''In Africa, our leadership seems to be under some curse hence the refusal to vacate office by some of our heads of states. They are willing to do anything including rigging, extending their tenure and amending laws to extend presidential candidature age limits provided that they retain their posts,'' said the leader.

He pointed out that instead of striving to better the state of the countries, some of these leaders would rather lay out frameworks to cement their positions and establish unnecessary alliances under fear of being punished for their wrong deeds upon dethronement.

''Some of them have subjected their people to so much trouble and are, therefore, afraid of the aftermath of their ouster,'' said Wamwere who also bashed them for doing little to intervene for disadvantaged Africans.

''With countries like Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo currently facing leadership wrandles, our leaders have remained uninterested and busy with their own operations,'' Wamwere added.
