Former Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu has hit out at former Kilome legislator Harun Mwau alleging that he (Mwau) is sympathizing with the National Super Alliance (NASA).

Speaking during an interview on KTN news on Wednesday, Mutambu alleged that Mwau is working with NASA to bring president elect Uhuru Kenyatta down.

The former MP claims   that Mwau’s petition challenging Uhuru’s re-election in the Supreme Court has NASA’s blessings.

Mutambu further alleges that Mwau is working under leader Raila Odinga’s instructions.

“Mwau should come out clearly and explain to Kenyans on whose interest has he filed the petition challenging Uhuru’s win October 26 repeat poll in the Supreme Court,” the former Mwingi Central lawmaker said during the interview.

The former lawmaker accused NASA of allegedly using civil society groups and certain individuals to frustrate president elect Uhuru Kenyatta.

Mutambu  dismissed the three petitions challenging Uhuru’s win saying that they are baseless and will be thrown out.

The former Kalonzo Musyoka ally said that Uhuru will be sworn in for a second term whether NASA politicians like it or not.

Three petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court challenging Uhuru’s October 26 repeat poll win.

Former Kilome MP and businessman Harun Mwau is among three petitioners who want Uhuru’s re-election to be nullified on grounds that the IEBC allegedly failed to conduct the October 26 repeat poll in conformity with the law as earlier ordered by the Supreme Court when it nullified the August 8 presidential election.
