Former Lagdera MP Farah Maalim has taken a swipe at MPs allied to the Jubilee coalition terming them short- sighted and driven by anger.
Speaking in an interview with NTV ln Monday,the former National Assembly deputy soeaker said the move by the said MPs to ammend the a section of the electoral laws was selfish and totally uncalled for asking the MPs to be judicious before proceeding with the plans.
"Even in amending laws you must be judicious and farsighted and try to imagine these laws in the hands of your worst enemy,that is what they (Jubilee) should be doing.Their rush to change laws is uncalled for at the moment.
The MPs on Thursday fastracked the implementation of the proposed changes even as their Nasa counterparts cried foul.
Among the key issues that the changes seeks to address include a reduction on the powers of the Iebc chairman while entrenching the manual transmission system of votes.
