David Ochieng, former Ugenya MP has claimed he was accused of being one of the people who organized for the death of former IEBC ICT manager Chris Msando.

This came to the fore on Wednesday, when Ochieng appeared before a court, where he has filed a petition to challenge the election of Chris Karani.

According to the MP, he was wrongly linked with the murder of Msando, and it in a way affected his campaigns.

“This was the lowest moment during the campaigns, but I told my people to leave it to God,” said Mr. Ochieng as quoted by the Nation.

The former MP further claims that Karani told mourners not to allow him to attend Msando’s burial since he was involved in his death.

“My opponent, having been aware that there was a Jubilee Party candidate in the contest, went ahead to link my party to Jubilee, telling voters that a vote to me was a vote to Jubilee Party and its presidential candidate Uhuru Kenyatta,” said Ochieng.

He further told the court that leaders threatened voters by telling them that the coalition had laid down technological structures which would allow them to identify those who vote for Ochieng, which would attract consequences.

Msando was killed a few days to the August general polls, with his body and that of a lady found dumped in Nairobi.
