Former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga has started his canmpaign to seek the Laikipia senatorial seat ahead of August 8 general election.
Njenga started his bid to unseat the incumbent G.G Kariuki by addressing a crowd at Nyahururu stadium yesterday.
He said he will seek the post on a Jubilee ticket to ensure President Kenyatta and his DP Ruto are elected for a second term.
“I'm more than ready to work with Jubilee government to ensure it is elected for the second term. I have a clear vision for Laikipia and I plead with the electorate to give me the opportunity,” Njenga stated.
He unveiled his campaign dubbed 'Jenga Laikipia na Njenga' saying that he will ensure Laikipia county gets more bording schools to ensure that the children of the pastoralist community get ample time for studies.
