Former Mwala MP Peter Mutua Kavisi passed on, Friday.
According to the family, the veteran lawmaker died at his Mwasua Home in Mwala Sub-county, from stroke.
It is believed Kavisi was suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes.
His second wife, Esther Kavisi said the deceased was pronounced dead on arrival at the Shalom Community Hospital in Athi-River, Machakos County, Friday night.
Kavisi who is survived by three wives and six children, served as Mwala Constituency lawmaker between 1992 and 1997 through a Kanu ticket.
After politics, Kavisi was appointed by former president Daniel arap Moi as a commissioner in the Koech Commision on Education.
