Former Tana River governor, Hussein Dhado has asked Coast residents to reject opposition leader, Raila Odinga, in the repeat presidential poll which is scheduled for October 26.

Dhado who was floored during the August 8 poll by ODM's Dado Godana claimed that the former Prime Minister is a selfish leader who does not have the interests of the Coast people at heart.

Speaking during a meeting between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his depuuty, William Ruto, with political leaders from the Coast region at Serani Grounds on Monday, the former governor who ditched Wiper for Jubilee in the run up to the August 8 poll, said that the future of the region lies in Jubilee.

"Raila does not respect people from Coast. In Mombasa, he got many votes. In Kilifi, he got almost 100 per cent of all elected leaders. But when it came to nominations, he took all of them to his home. Uhuru never got even an MCA seat in Kilifi but he nominated one of their own to be Senator. So why can't we reward him (Uhuru Kenyatta)?," said the former Wiper Governor.
