Former Balambala MP Abdikadir Aden has urged NASA principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula to remain united and push the reforms agenda forward.
Speaking in Garissa Town on Wednesday, Aden said that NASA needs to stick together and ensure the promise of electoral reforms in the country is achieved.
Aden said that claims of cracks in the NASA coalition is scaring supporters who he said are counting on the leaders for reforms in the country.
“My appeal is to our leaders to remain together and lead this reforms agenda on a united front,” he said.
The former lawmaker said that it will be a blow if the reforms agenda is abandoned prematurely.
He said that Kenyans have hope and faith in NASA, adding that leaders must put aside their differences and fulfil the promise they made.
The former lawmaker, who lost in last year’s General Election, said that electoral justice and reforms has to be realized for credible future elections.
He said that the country is still bleeding from last year’s police brutality, adding that NASA leaders have no option but to escalate the reforms agenda.
The former MP also asked NASA politicians to stop discussing 2022 politics.
He said that there is much to be addressed in regards to last year’s general election and discussing 2022 should not be a priority now.
There have been claims of cracks in NASA that is threatening to split the coalition.
NASA principals have however denied the claims insisting the coalition is united and committed to reforms agenda.
