After losing his bid for Kuria West parliamentary seat in the just-concluded elections, former Migori Senator Wilfred Machage has joined race for Senate Speaker position.
Machage who ditched ODM after fallout with Raila Odinga joined Democratic Party, the outfit he used as his political vehicle in his quest for the MP seat, the position he lost to Jubilee candidate.
Speaking in an interview on KTN, the veteran politician said that he has enough experience to execute the role of the Speaker if elected even as he asked senators to put aside their political affiliations during the voting process.
"I urge the Senators to choose me. Consider my ability not my minority tribe as you vote," he said.
