Retired President Daniel arap Moi has commended the work of Education CS Fred Matiang'i in his quest to restore education standards in the country.
Speaking on Friday at Kabarak University during their 12th graduation ceremony, Moi pointed out that Matiang'i had sealed loopholes for exam cheating in the country, some thiing that had gone rampant in the previous years.
“The commendable efforts by the government to monitor our national examinations and block loopholes to exam cheating is only the tip of the iceberg as malpractices in the education sector are still untouched,” Moi said.
He encouraged the ministry to ensure that high standards of education through learning institutions for a better future of the country.
The former president pointed out that the country was endangered if people took low standards of education from leaning institutions without question.
