A former presidential candidate was on Friday arraigned in a Mombasa court to face fraud charges.
Chibule Wa Tsuma was charged with conspiracy to defraud a company of its land in Mazeras.
Appearing before Mombasa Chief Magistrate Julius Nang'ea, Tsuma was also charged with forcible detainer and two counts of uttering a false document.
According to the charge sheet, the offences are said to have been committed between January 28, 2003, and December 20, 2011.
He, however, denied the charges and was released on a Sh200,000 cash bail.
Tsuma, a trained medical doctor, once served as the Member of Parliament for Kaloleni Constituency.
During 1992 General Elections, he was in the race to State House but lost to the then incumbent and now retired President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi.
