Former presidential candidate and Third Way Alliance leader Ekuru Aukot has hit out at Raila Odinga and poured scorn on his swearing-in ceremony, calling it sheer nonsense.
Mr. Aukot said that the swearing-in ceremony will not have any legal effect.
''I am a disappointed that we are giving too much importance to nothing, to a process that is sheer nonsense. I would not want to spend time discussing something that has no legal effect. Even the people who claim to be in it do not believe it,'' Mr. Aukot said.
Aukot made the case that the swearing-in ceremony offended the constitution and that it was a waste of the precious time of Kenyans.
The strong comments come in the wake of Raila taking the 'oath of office' after a long wait.
