This after Akothee caused a stir online during her performance at The One Africa Music Fest held at the Wembley Stadium. Umar took to social media to criticize the singer for what she termed as lack of morality reminding her that Kenya is a nation governed by African morals. “Maybe hence this wild abandoned lewdness, then she needs help. Confused hormones!! Treat her then send her to jail. Balaa gani hii? I am assaulted, offended and need protection of the law. Which is my inalienable right! I didn't need to see this!” read part of her post. She further said that the constitution should be obeyed to the latter, adding that actions such as one displayed by the singer are punishable. ‘’Paragraph one of our constitution and the penal code alone suffices to have this woman called #Akothee in a prison cell. #ezekielmutua come here. This is an attack to the whole of the African continent.”It is not yet clear if KFCB will take action against Akothee considering that the performance was in a foreign country.
