Sang who alongside Deputy President William Ruto, was earlier this week acquitted of the criminal charges leveled against him at the International Criminal Court (ICC) said he is under immense pressure to contest for a political seat.

“I am considering running for public office in the next elections. This follows requests by many people, family and friends,” said Sang who was addressing the media in Nairobi on Thursday.

Mr Sang who is now a hero has hinted at running on a Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) ticket which is popular in Rift Valley and if he wins will be among the youngest leaders in the election period.

His decision to join politics was definitely coming as he had been close to many Rift Valley politicians and at some point Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leader Raila Odinga.

Sang had to quit his work as a radio journalist saying it has not been easy working when the cases were on.

He stated that it would be difficult for employers to even evaluate him with the ICC tag still lingering on him.
