Raila Odinga will lose the presidential poll if he rigs in his daughter for the Kibra parliamentary seat, Eliud Owalo-his former aide has said.
Owalo over the weekend called on the CORD chief to cease favoring his daughter Rosemary during ODM party nominations.
Rosemary Odinga, Eliud Owalo and the incumbent Ken Okoth seek to secure the ODM party ticket, ahead of the August 8 elections.
"He should choose between reclaiming the Kibra Parliamentary Seat through his daughter Rosemary and the Presidency," Owalo stated.
Raila’s daughter, Rosemary has kicked off her political bid in what pundits say might cost his father's ambition for the top office.
The CORD premier’s sister Ruth Odinga and brother Oburu Odinga previously expressed interests for Kisumu gubernatorial and Bondo parliamentary seats respectively.
Owalo dismissed Rosemary’s official launch for the parliamentary seat as sycophancy that will dent Raila’s quest for the country’s top job.
Raila’s critics seem to be on the watch over how his party ODM will conduct its primaries.
Currently, Raila Odinga is spearheading opposition’s efforts in mobilizing eligible voters to register during the IEBC voter listing exercise undergoing.
Their opponents in the Jubilee government equally continue to tour regions they perceive to garner support for their re-election bid.
