Mwaura , who unsuccessfully , contested for the Ruiru Parliamentary seat in last year’s general election,  said that Wetangula’s ouster was in order.

The nominated Jubilee senator claimed that Wetangula was fond of disrespecting his colleagues and that the ouster serves him right.

“I am happy that Wetangula’s fate as the senate minority leader has been sealed because he was a block to many good things that could benefit the senate and Kenyans,” he said as quoted by a local daily.

Mwaura said that despite Wetangula being a good debater, he openly showed disrespect to his colleagues who sought clarification and help on serious Senate  matters.

Wetangula was ousted on Tuesday after eighteen senators mostly from ODM voted to oust him and have him replaced by Siaya senator James Orengo.

The senator ouster has elicited sharp reactions with majority politicians allied to Wiper, ANC and Ford Kenya criticizing it.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka now wants Siaya senator James Orengo to decline the opposition and save NASA from collapsing.

NASA principal's are expected to hold summit meeting today to discuss Wetangula's  ouster.
