Dagoretti South MP hopeful John Kiarie has been handed the Jubilee party ticket. 

Kiarie who was contesting against incumbent Dennis Waweru stormed into the lead with 9,793 votes as Waweru came in close after garnering 9,051 votes.

Earlier, Kiarie had accused Waweru of planning to rig the nomination process. 

His win comes shortly after musician Jaguar also clinched the ticket for Starehe after beating the likes of Maina Kamanda who featured in the political field for a while. 

Kiarie unsuccessfully contested for the same position in 2013 under ODM but failed.
