Former Nyeri Senator Mutahi Kagwe has laughed at Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula's recent move to part ways with opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking on A.M Live on Tuesday, Kagwe noted that Wetangula is out to overturn the situation, terming the move as a plan by the lawmaker to soothe himself after a hard political blow.
He said that contrary to his attempts to victimize and embarrass the veteran leader, Wetangula is the one grappling with political rejection from Odinga's quarters as a result of his recent woes in the hands of Odinga's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) senators.
''It is funny how Wetangula is purporting to be ditching Odinga when it is Odinga who pushed him aside a long time ago. He is only trying to cover and reduce Odinga's destruction on his political appearance,'' he said.
Coming at a time when the Ford Kenya party leader and his Amani National Congress (ANC) counterpart Musalia Mudavadi have remained hesitant on backing Odinga's recent truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta, Kagwe called upon them to shelve their rivalry and jump on board in the chase for national cohesion.
''They have to join Odinga and Kenyatta in their joint pursuit of national cohesion even though they are yet to come to terms with the procedure that preceded the deal,'' he added.
