Former Harambee Stars goal Keeper Wilson Oburu Obungu has been appointed Bandari FC goal keeping coach.
The development comes few days after Ugandan coach Paula Nkata was sacked after leading Bandari to a dismissal 2017 Kenya Premier League Season.
Nkata’s former assistant Ken Odhiambo is now the head coach, assisted by Nassor Mwakoba with Oburu being appointed goal keeper trainer.
“As you know Paul Nkata was released at the expiry of his one year deal and now Ken has been confirmed as the new head coach, to be assisted by coach Nassor. The board is confident they have what it takes to guide the team to greatness again,” Bandari FC media liaison officer Steven Heywood is quoted by soka.co.ke
Apart from goal keeper trainer, Oburu who once donned Sony Sugar, Tusker FC and Sofapaka jersey’s is also the new assistant team manager.
“Oburu has retired and we want to thank him for the diligent service he has had for the club. He will starting now be the new goalkeeper trainer and will also be the assistant team manager.
