According to Tuko.co.ke, the 82-year-old who graced Kenyan TV screens in several programmes such as KBC’s Tausi is impoverished from living in poverty.

Mwaronga who was known for his role as Mzee Mlahaka or Baba Mkubwa in Tausi, is said to be relying on well-wishers, family and a friends for food and other basic needs.

"I featured in several TV programmes when I was young, the most popular being Tausi on KBC,” said Mwaronga, who lives in a single-roomed house in Mtongwe, Mombasa County.

"I am appealing to the Mombasa governor and president to come to my aid,” he pleaded.

The actor has launched the passionate appeal even as neighbours seek medical and financial help from well-wishers to support Mzee Mwaronga.
