Former Pwani TV News anchor Hajj Ramadhan Mohammed has finally tied the knot with the love of his life Dr Fatma Ngotho. Most of his fellow journalists in the Coast region were caught by surprise as they learned about the wedding plans only three days to the ceremony which was held in Nairobi last weekend. The journalist said 'I do' in an Islamic ceremony held at Masjid Rahma (Biafra) in Nairobi on Saturday.Hajj worked with Radio Rahma, an Islamic radio station in Mombasa, before moving to Pwani TV which later shut down due to a financial crisis which was blamed on poor management. He later secured a job as a senior communications officer at the Mombasa sub-county administration office headed by major Mohammed Idris who is a senior advisor to both Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and NASA leader Raila Odinga. The 28-year-old journalist who is known for keeping his personal life private said only close family members and friends attended the ceremony.“I wanted it to be a highly secretive affair that is why I only involved my parents, my siblings, close relatives and a few friends from the media fraternity especially those based at the Coast,” he said. He, however, revealed that they are planning a small party for relatives and friends in the media fraternity who did not attend the ceremony in Nairobi.“The venue of the small celebration will be revealed to you soon, but be sure that it will happen. I love my family, my relatives, and my friends in the media,” said Hajj. The newly-weds are back in Mombasa and will be spending their two-week honeymoon at a hotel in South Coast.
