Former Uchumi CEO Dr Julius Kipngetich has been appointed the CEO of listed Insurance firm Jubilee Holdings.
In a letter dated January 10 to the stock exchanges of Nairobi, Uganda and Dar es Salaam by company secretary Margaret Kipchumba, the company wishes to advise the stock markets on the new appointment which took effect from 1st January."We wish to advise that the board of Directors has appointed Mr Julius K. Kipng'etich as the regional CEO of Jubilee Holdings Limited with effect from 1st January 2018," the letter quoted.Mr Kipng'etich hold a master's in Business administration (MBA) and a bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Nairobi.
He resigned from Uchumi on November 30, last year to pursue personal interest.
"The board has accepted with reluctance the resignation of Kipngetich with effect November 30 to pursue interests," chairperson Catherine Ngahu said in press statement after his resignation.Prior to joining Uchumi, Kipngetich served as Equity Group Holdings Limited chief operating officer from October 2012 to September 2015 and KWS CEO between December 2004 and September 2012.
The board believes that Mr Kipng'etich will bring valuable contribution, knowledge and experience in strategy and management.
