At just 26 years, Silvance Osele beat all odds to be elected Kasipul Kabando MP and the youngest lawmaker in Kenya during the 2013 election.
Five years later, the youthful politician is now battling for his political life after losing his seat to Eve Obara, a newcomer in the 2017 General Election.
Osele's problems within the Orange Party started in 2014 when the lawmaker was accused of being a 'Jubilee mole' in ODM.
The allegations against Osele tainted his image and negatively affected his political career which had just taken off at a tender age.
During the party nominations, the youthful legislator was unable to secure the ODM ticket forcing him to decamp from the party and vie as an independent candidate.
The move did not yield fruit as he was still defeated in the election by the ODM candidate leaving him 'out in the cold'.
Going forward, the lawmaker will now have to spend the next five years laying strategies on how to mount a political comeback in 2022.
Will he go back to ODM? Will he join the ruling party? Only time will tell.
