Former Uasin Gishu Senator Isaac Melly has 'gone missing' after suffering a humiliating loss during the 2017 Jubilee Party nominations.
Melly emerged fourth in the nominations securing 10,351 votes against the current Senator Prof. Margaret Kamar who emerged the winner with 65,931 votes.
The former youthful Senator joined politics in 2013 where he was overwhelmingly voted for in Uasin Gishu for the Senatorial seat on the then United Republican Party (URP) ticket.
During his term, Melly made some controversial moves including leading a demonstration against University of Eldoret Vice Chancellor (VC) Teresa Akenga.
According to him, the VC was practicing tribalism and nepotism in recruitment.
Following his loss, Melly has never made a public appearance making his supporters worried about his next political move.
The hope of securing a government job has also dwindled as the President has already made key appointments in his administration.
Going forward, many Uasin Gishu residents are keen to watch how Melly will play his cards.
As to whether he will make a political comeback, only time will tell.
