Kiambu MP Jude Njomo has called on Kiambu leaders to work as a team and end political wrangles.
The MP said that leaders of the same political party should embrace each other and work towards achieving the Jubilee manifesto set during the campaign.
Njomo said elections are around the corner and the members of the same house should tolerate each other for the remaining two years to ensure Kiambu County is not stalling in development.
Speaking in Kiambu Town on Tuesday, the legislator said that the county will move forward if the leaders are united and asked leaders not to give the opposition a reason to fault the government in something they can avoid.
He condemned the use of social media to spread hate speech saying it only causes more enmity in Kenya, yet the Jubilee government is fighting to reconcile citizens and bring national healing.
Njomo called on his counterparts, not only in Kiambu County, but the entire nation, to work and help improve the economic status of the country and fight terrorism.
“Leaders should be responsible for their actions and be answerable to the mwananchi who voted them in. When our term comes to an end, leaders should explain what they have been doing in the past five years,” said Njomo.
The MP promised to be proactive and vigilant in promoting education in his constituency this financial year saying education is the key to fighting poverty.
