Jason Mosinga Foundation has started giving books to schools in North Mugirango constituency in Nyamira County as one way of ensuring that children get a decent education and improving the levels of education the region. Speaking when he gave out the books to 10 schools at Riamoria primary school, Jason Mosing who is the chairman of the foundation said that it is high time the levels of education in North Mugirango is taken to another level in all the schools in the area. “We came here today to give these pupils books, those performed well and those who failed because they are all our children and we want them to have education for the future,” he said. He also said that they have up to about fifty schools where they are supposed to give out books worth Ksh. 3 million to that will help the children continue reading to gain knowledge to help their parents when they grow up. He said that the foundation arrived at the decision to give books to school children after they noted that they had started performing poorly in the national examinations. Riamoria Primary Schools head teacher Elkanah Ombasa while receiving the books said that there is a challenge in getting books that cost the schools a lot of money but they were now thankful that they have received enough books and pupils will not be sharing
