Berill Foundation planted 147 trees in Kwa Kavoo Primary school as they paid tribute to each of the students who lost their lives.

Speaking during the tree planting exercise in Kwa Kavoo Primary School in Katumani location Machakos County, the director of Beril Foundation Carlos Kioko urged all Kenyans to practice environment conservation.

Kioko stated that the foundations strategy is to plant trees where they can be taken care of and grow into a forestry hence conserving the environment. He further stated the foundation had so far planted over 4,000 trees since February.

“as we grieve loss of our young generation in Garissa attack let us plant 147 trees to make a forestry that will be remembered each year because they lost their lives for no reason.” Said Kioko.

“Our main objective is very simple which is to plant as many trees as possible and in an environment where they will be taken care of,” he added.

Present during the tree planting exercise and the ceremony of paying tribute to the fallen students was former chairman of Nairobi traders association Timothy Muriuki. He had been invited as the chief guest.

Muriuki challenged all governors from the 47 Counties to embrace the project to respect the souls of innocent students whose lives were cut short due to insecurity in the country.
