Police in Kilimani area have arrested four people suspected of being behind a chain of theft in the area.
The four, including one woman, were nabbed on Tuesday in Kileleshwa when they arrived in a car with fake registration numbers on a mission to rob an apartment in the area.
The suspects were arrested in possession of 121 different keys suspected to be used in the robberies.
One of them, according to The Standard, was on a police wanted list in connection with an earlier incident in which Honda Motors regional boss Hirohide Ichikawa was robbed of Sh300,000 and electronic goods.
Police said they recovered housebreaking tools and an assortment of household electronics, perfumes, clothes, iPads, phones and other appliances.
Kilimani police boss Joseph Muthee said cases of house breaking in the area were alarming.
"They were arrested by our officers in the morning following a tip-off," Muthee said told the local daily.
"We have been registering increasing cases of house breaking in this area in which many residents have lost cash and other valuables, including electronic goods," he added.
The police boss appealed to those whose houses have been broken into to report to the station.
