Four Eldoret University students are in police custody following the mysterious death of a female Moi University student.

Camillah Selinah Mahelo passed on after an outing at Kimumu in Eldoret town.

The four arrested are three male and a female student who live in the hotel where Camillah died.

Police have, however, said they are yet to confirm if Cammillah died of poisoning.

"We are just holding them until a post mortem is done to confirm the causé of death,” said Eldoret East Police boss Adamson Furaha.

The police boss said the deceased complained of not feeling well after the outing.

She was given water but later her condition worsened and she was rushed to a nearby private hospital where she died.
