Four businessmen have been arraigned before a Mombasa Law Court to answer to charges of stealing spaghetti.
The four suspects, Joseph Oyugi, Mwinyi Mohamed, Wray Mwakiringo and Eliezer Kounda, are accused of allegedly stealing 5,290 cartons of spaghetti valued at 6 million shillings at Mitchell Cotts CFS Shimanzi.
The prosecution told the court on Monday that the accused persons committed the offence on the night of May 23, 2016.
The stolen goods are said to belong to Ozone Freight Forwarders.
The four accused persons however denied the charges before Mombasa Senior Principal Magistrate Emmanuel Mutunga and filed an application to be released on bail.
Magistrate Mutunga granted their application and ordered for them to be released on a Sh300,000 bond each with one surety of a similar amount pending the next case hearing.
