Four Chinese were arrested by police at Milimani in Kisumu on Monday for allegedly operating gambling machines without a permit.

The four were arrested during a raid at their residence whereby 112 gambling machines were recovered as confirmed by Kisumu county police commander Titus Yoma.

''We acted on a tip off from a member of the public and recovered 112 gambling machines,'' said Yoma.

Twenty five other machines were confiscated around the town during the crackdown.

This comes just few days after MCAs in the county decried an increase of betting machines in the area.

Yoma further said the four are in police custody and will be availed in court once a Chinese interpretation is found.
