Four people have been reported dead after the pickup truck they were travelling in was involved in an accident along the Embu-Kiritiri road.
Confirming the Sunday morning incident, acting Embu West OCPD Ziro Arome, said the four were among a group of eight people heading to a housewarming party in Kiritiri.
Arome said the driver of the vehicle, who is said to have been speeding, and one passenger died on the spot, while the other two passed away while receiving treatment at Tenri Hospital.
He urged motorists to exercise caution on the roads, adding that police had launched investigations into the incident.
According to the OCPD, the four injured passengers are yet to be identified.
The bodies were taken to Embu Level Five Hospital Morgue.
