Four people were on Saturday arrested in Pangani area after being nabbed transporting donkey meat.

The suspects who were detained at Pangani police station are believed to have been on their way to Burma market.

The meat was stashed in polythene bags which had been inserted in two sacks. 

Police officers also recovered hooves, the donkey head and skin.

Authorities also confirmed that the meat was being transported in a vehicle suspected to have been stolen from Kasarani area.

They are expected in court on Monday.
