Barely six months after 2017 general eelection,2022 presidential elections seem to be taking shape with Jubilee and Nasa coalitions; which were the major participants doing open preparations for the race.
Here are top governors who will be in the fore and might be key in winning the presidency.
1 Ali Hassan Joho - Mombasa County.
Joho is ODM Party deputy leader and was recently quoted saying that ODM might have to go alone in 2022 elections. He also has the support of the Coast and most NASA supporters who wanted him to take the 'Oath' on behalf of Kalonzo.
2 Jackson Mandago - Uasin Gishu
He is the governor of Ruto's home county. During Jubilee party nominations, Mandago was quoted saying that the deputy president wantend him out despite the fact that he is on of the most popular governors in the Rift.
3 Anne Waiguru - Kirinyaga
Waiguru shook off the NYS 'demon' to winning the much contested Kirinyaga seat, beating Martha Karua who has been in politics for a long time and even vied for the presidency.
4 Alfred Mutua - Machakos
The leader of Maendeleo Chap Chap has on many occasions displayed intrest for the top seat come 2022. However he will have to out beat Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka who also comes from the region.
