There are many of us who do not understand our bodies. This affects how we deal with different situations. For instance, if you do not know what happens to the skin, then caring about the same will not be easy. Here are four lies you've been told about your own body;
1. Urine is sterile
Urine can appear crystal clear but it is not sterile. According to researchers at Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University Chicago, women’s urine contains at least 85 different species of bacteria. The researchers also opine that men’s urine is also likely to contain different types of bacteria.
2. Shaving makes your hair to grow thicker and darker
According to Robert Dorin, D.O., a hair restoration expert and hair care specialist in New York City, the statement is untrue although the hair tends to become lush and temporarily dark over time.
3. The bigger your feet the bigger penis
There are beliefs that a bigger feet means a bigger penis, which is not the truth. The size of the feet does not reflect the size of the penis. However, some people with bigger feet also have bigger penises.
4. Human beings only use 10 percent of their brains
No one is sure how it all started with the percentage of the brain one uses. It is hard to understand the brain you have been using to perform different functions. There are persons who use a larger part of their brains compared to others.
