Easter weekend is finally here. While it marks the end of the passion week and an end to the suffering of the Son of Man, people usually take it as a time to bond and celebrate.
Most people do not prefer going out to clubs or other entertainment joints as there is always that holy feeling about the Easter weekend.
Instead, a family getaway to a serene environment is more preferred. It is also a great time for family fun and shopping. Here are some places you should check out along the Thika superhighway this weekend for Easter shopping:
Thika Road Mall: The mall populary known by its initials TRM, is located at Roysambu area just around 15Km from Nairobi city centre along the Thika Superhighway.
TRM usually has various Easter offers and kids festival which has fun-filled activities such as bouncing castles, water slides, play stations, art corner, face painting, water gun games among others. Whether alone or with your loved ones, TRM is a place worth checking out.
Garden City Mall: Garden City Mall is located between exit 7 and 8 on the Thika Superhighway just 30 minutes from Nairobi CBD.
It is the second biggest shopping mall in Kenya after the Two Rivers Mall in Runda. With over a hundred international and local shops and luxury brands, you will be spoilt for choice in Easter shopping. The mall also has several restaurants, bars, and cafes.
Juja City Mall: It is located at Juja town about 27Km from Nairobi on Thika Superhighway exit 14. It incorporates a three-star hotel, a two-acre kids amusement park, banking hall, petrol station, food court ATM lobbies and 750 cars parking lot for shoppers and tenants.
It is a great place to take the family for shopping as kids have fun at the kids' amusement park at the mall.
Mountain Mall: It is strategically located along the Thika Superhighway at the junction leading to Garden and Thome Estates just opposite the Garden City Mall.
It has a number of supermarkets, eateries and various retail outlets. It is less big compared to TRM and Garden City Mall but is worth checking out this Easter weekend.
