Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has been asked to investigate and prosecute four governors allied to the Opposition alliance, NASA.

In a petition filed by the Council of Kenyan Professionals (CKP), the four county chiefs are planning to interfere with Kenyans' right to vote on the fresh presidential election set for Thursday.

CPK chairman Ababu Namwamba said the four are; Cyprian Awiti (Homa Bay), Anyang' Nyong'o (Kisumu), Cornel Rasanga (Siaya) and Migori's Okoth Obado.

"It is on record that the four governors warned there would no elections October 26, 2017, as planned and gazetted by IEBC," said Namwamba, who is former MP of Budalang'i.

He further said it was evident there was a real threat of possible obstruction of IEBC officials from executing their duties, contrary to the Constitution and Election Officials Act.

"They called on the electoral commission to 'stop wasting time training poll officials' to preside over the fresh presidential election," the former MP added.
