Police in Nakuru have arrested four teenagers with a decomposing body of a driver who went missing in Narok town after being abducted.
Police said they have confirmed two of the suspects are secondary school students of a school in Narok.
The four were arrested on Tuesday evening driving along the Nakuru-Nyahururu road in a Toyota Premio that had been stolen after the driver was kidnapped and went missing.
Nakuru police boss Musa Kongoli confirmed the incident.
“The suspects had placed the decomposing body of the driver in the car’s boot when they were arrested by police officers who have been tracking the vehicle from Narok Town,” Kongoli said.
Police also found the students’ school uniforms stuffed in the back seat of the Toyota Premio.
Investigations indicate the car was hijacked on Saturday night in Narok Town, the same day when the driver went missing.
“The crime had been circulated by Narok police to all police divisions in neighbouring counties. When the vehicle was tracked, police signals indicated it was at JB trading centre in the outskirts of Nakuru Town prompting police on patrol to lay a trap on the suspects,” the police boss added.
Police have responded swiftly to investigations as they try to unravel whether the deadly students belong to a ring of criminals behind a wave of killings in Narok town in recent times.
