Four students of Rapogi Secondary School were on Friday reported dead and several others injured.

This is after their bus was involved in a road accident.

Reports indicate the school bus crashed near Kombewa, Seme Sub-county along Bondo-Kisumu Road.

Taking to social media, a section of Kenyans mourned the students while others criticised the former Education CS Fred Matiang'i over the painting of school buses to a certain colour which they said has not helped.

A user identified as Bravons Oriko said, "The so called Matiang'i.....why school buses YELLOW??? Now you are happy that Rapogi Boys have involved in an accident&&&&.......We are on your neck...."

Another one Noreen Mcdall wrote, "Quick recovery to the students of Rapogi secondary school, seme, Kisumu county, poleni sana..."
