The African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) has granted Egypt the rights to host both the 2018 men and women African volleyball club championships.

The Women’s Edition of the tournament will be staged between March 05 and March 18, 2018, while the men’s edition of the tournament will take centre stage between March 27 and April 5 2018.

All the editions will be held in Cairo, Egypt.

“The registered team's will be required to confirm their final participation by providing the African Volleyball Confederation "CAVB" with entry from, O-2bis and flight details before the deadline of 15th February 2018,” reads a post on African Volleyball Confederation - cavb.org.

The Kenya Pipeline female volley ball team alongside seasoned rivals The Kenya Prisons will represent Kenya in the female Championships, while General Service Unit and Kenya Prisons will be in action during the men’s tournament.

Kenya Pipeline has won the female edition of the annual tournament 7 times while Kenya Prisons have been crowned Champions five times. Al Ahly of Egypt is the most decorated team with a historic 8 titles.

Another Kenya team - Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) has been crowned Champions once.

Carthage of Tunisia captured last year’s title during the 2017 edition held in Monstir Tunisia, after beating Egypt's Shams 3-2 in the final.
