The skin is among the most delicate organs of the body. Your skin requires proper care.
There are certain practices you need to stop to keep your skin young and healthy.
According to Herbert P. Goodheart, M.D., of New York, NY, the author of Acne For Dummies and a practicing dermatologist, there are certain activities that are not good for the skin.
Here are 4 things you should never do to your skin.
1. Pre-tanning
Pre-tanning your skin at the salon should be avoided by all means. Preparing the skin as you get ready for the intense sun at the beach is said not to be a good ideology. Although many people have embraced the idea over years, it can damage your skin.
2. Smoking
Smoking is not advisable if you want to keep your skin glowing over years. Smoking comes with endless risks including heart diseases, lung cancer, and emphysema among others. Smoking has also been proven to cause wrinkling of the skin.
3. Too much Vitamin A
Vitamin A is not good for your skin. There are claims that the Vitamin helps in curing acne but too much of it is not healthy. The excessive levels of the vitamin can lead to serious health issues if they accumulate in the liver. Take the vitamin which can be found in foods such as pumpkin, spinach, carrots and sweet potatoes in moderation.
4. Using mystery products
There endless new skin care products on the market. Do not use all skin care products you come across on the market. Some of these skin care products have side effects. Consult an expert before using any skin care product.
