Wiper Party Patron Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka’s fight to be named National Super Alliance (NASA) is almost bearing fruits after he managed to broker a deal that has seen four major political parties from his backyard join the alliance.

National Rainbow Coalition (Narc), People's Trust Party (PTP), Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) and Muungano Party leaders met with the former vice President and agreed to support NASA ahead of the general elections.

Kalonzo has been at loggerheads with the leaders of these parties until the deal was reached. According to sources, leaders of these parties have agreed to back Kalonzo or any other person the opposition is going to present to battle it out with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto during the next general polls.

The meeting is said to have been attended by different leaders including former Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu (Narc), former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti(CCU), Mutua Katuku (PTP)and Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana (Muungano Party).

It has also been reported that members of Wiper have not been in good terms with Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama conduct within the party.

Muthama has, however, downplayed the claims saying that he has played an immense role in NASA. "Those accusing me don't know how much we have put in as a party and a coalition," he said, as quoted by Standard.
