Mathare United head coach Francis Kimanzi has praised the Club’s new signing Klinsman Omulanga, calling him a great prospect.

"He is a young boy who is showing a lot of promise and we hope that we can guide him at this crucial stage of his development," coach Kimanzi is quoted by the Club’s official portal - mathareunitedfc.co.ke.

The 21 year old striker officially joined Mathare United on Thursday January 11, 2018, from Liberty Sports Academy. Liberty Sports Academy is run by former Harambee Stars and Tusker FC coach Jacob ‘Ghost’Mulee.

He joined the 2008 Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions on a one year loan deal.

Klinsman Omulanga is the son of former Harambee Stars and AFC Leopards player Wycliffe Anyangu.

He will compete for a starting place in Mathare United’s forward line against Chris Ochieng, Elijah Mwanzia and veteran forward Clifford Alwanga.

“This is a new experience for me and I am happy that I am playing at this level. It is tough to compete here and it requires a lot of determination and hard work,” Omulanga is quoted by Mathare United’s website.

“I am grateful to coach Jacob Mulee for advising me to join this team because it gives young players an opportunity to learn. I want to work hard and gain experience by playing as many matches at this level. When my opportunity comes I will grab it. I am here to score goals,” added the youngster.
