Claims that Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu may not have been to a university lecture room is another indication of Kenyan's culture of love for shortcuts.
Waititu on Wednesday morning was trending on Twitter over claims of holding a fake degree, if it’s true Waititu has fake papers this is what he should do:
He should learn from this list of obvious politicians:
Bishop Margaret Wanjiru
After she was shoved out of Nairobi gubernatorial seat race by her then party ODM for alleged lack of genuine university papers, Wanjiru never insisted on the authenticity of degree papers that had apparently earned her the title 'Dr'. She enrolled at St. Paul's University and we all know now that she is a genuine degree holder.
Mike Sonko
Who else to learn better from than Sonko? Waititu's style of politics have a lot of similarities with that of Sonko, from instant justice, throwing stones, climbing on walls to doing press-ups on busy highways.
But Sonko knew that all these could not help him attain his ambitions of becoming Nairobi Governor. He enrolled for a degree course. Apparently Waititu could not learn from him.
Maina Kamanda
It is rumoured that the current Starehe MP and Jubilee stalwart shelves bigger ambitions than the current position that he holds. He is reported to have graduated with a bachelor's degree last year from JKUAT.
Esther Gathogo
The Ruiru MP who was a 'mitumba' clothes seller at Gikomba market for a long time is reportedly graduating at Kenyatta University next year with a bachelor’s degree. She enrolled for the course immediately she was elected Ruiru MP.
So, if Kabogo manages to have Waititu finally locked out of Kiambu gubernatorial race in 2017, don’t blame the former blame Waititu himself.
Didn't he have enough examples to learn from?
