The New French Ambassador to Kenya and Somalia, Antoine Sivan, has called for peaceful elections, as Kenya prepares to elect leaders on August 8.  Speaking when he paid the National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi a Courtesy call, the former Libya ambassador said a country that engages in peaceful elections, makes it easy for economic growth, including attracting more investments.  Talks between the two leaders deliberated on enhancing Inter-Parliamentary Exchanges between the two Countries, and the need for free, fair and transparent general elections.  The envoy also hoped that respective new Parliaments will see the need to enhance Parliamentary Democracy through the already established Parliamentary Friendship Group, between the two States.  His sentiments were echoed by Muturi, who urged peaceful co-existence among Kenyans, saying the world is looking at the country, and how elections will be conducted.

They addressed the press, at parliament buildings, Tuesday.
