One person has been reported shot and wounded by bandits during a Saturday morning attacks at Mogil village in Kerio Valley.

According to the Star, the bandits  staged three more attacks in the area in two days after Deputy President William Ruto attended a peace rally in the region.

"The victim was shot on the head and had been taken to Eldoret for treatment,"Sharrif Abdallah, Elgeyo Marakwet police chief  said.

It is been reported that the elders from the region have started a process to reconcile communities residing in the area.
