ODM Migori county officials are calling on the party's National Elections Board to strip the ticket handed to Governor Okoth Obado and hand to his rival Ochilo Aycko.
The politicians battled it out during the primaries and were both declared winners.
ODM chairman for Migori County, Philip Makabongo, said that Ayacko was announced the winner by the bonafide returning officer appointed by the party to oversee the entire process from voting to tallying of votes while Obado was declared winner by a person who only appeared at night during the tallying of votes
Makabongo added that Samson Olala – the returning officer who declared Governor Obado the winner, could not approve the integrity of the vote.
Obado's ticket was withheld pending determination of results from a number of p[olling stations.
On Monday, ODM ruled that Obado will be the party's flagbearer in the county.
