Contracting details are emerging over the recount of Embakasi east parliamentary votes.
The recount was ordered by the court after Jubilee candidate Francis Mureith challenged the victory of his opponent Babu Owino of ODM.
The recount was finalised on Monday, February 19.
Each candidate gave his statistics on the outcome.
According to babu Owino, the results were: Babu Owino 46813, Francis Mureithi 42475.
However, minutes later, his opponent Francis Mureithi gave a different angle to the whole story.
"We have ballot boxes missing from six polling stations and cannot be found, Form 35A missing for over 60 stations others have no IEBC stamps and officials signatures. It’s evident the process was not conducted as per the rules. Final tally for 201 polling stations of 207 are as follows; Francis Mureithi 47,582 Babu Owino 46,813," Mureithi posted on his social media page.
He added: "We now await the final court judgment after the finding are taken back to court."
