Former Deputy Director of the Special Branch, currently National Intelligence Service Stephen Murithii Mwangi, now wants retired President Daniel Arap Moi to appear in court over a land dispute.

The former government top spy has asked the court to allow him to publish a summon to Moi through the Daily Nation.

"We pray that the court orders that the notification for the appearance in court be issued to Mr Moi through the Daily Nation newspaper as his status as the country's retired president make it difficult to access him," he said.

Mwangi has claimed that Moi fraudulently acquired part of his land in Solai, Nakuru County.

He now wants Moi to stop transacting business with the land until the case is heard and determined.

The case will be heard on 12, April.
