The fallout between Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has taken a different twist after it emerged that Muthama has never forgiven Kalonzo for taking over Athiani FM, a vernacular radio station, after he did much of the groundwork including processing its license.
A source close to the former vice president also revealed that the duo had differences over their stay in the National Super Alliance (NASA).
In a past interview, the senator threatened to reveal that he will soon share nasty things about Kalonzo that will shake the entire nation. “That’s coming from you. For me, I have a story to tell Kenyans... and when I open my mouth, the whole country will be shaken,” he said.
The lawmaker has also objected the nomination of Kalonzo’s son to join the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) as we head to the next general polls.
“We cannot nominate the father as the Deputy President and proceed to nominate the son as an MP. That position can go to another deserving Kenyan whose family is not anywhere near the top leadership of the country.”
